National Chip Week 2026: Who’s Having Chips? YOU ARE! 🫵

National Chip Week runs from 2 to 9 October, and what better excuse to enjoy a bag of chips?

Almost everyone loves chips, and there are so many ways to enjoy them. Pop down to your local chippy and buy a bag, or if they sell loaded chips, get them loaded up with your favourite toppings.

You could even cook a mountain of chips at home, butter some bread, fill the table with sauces and condiments, and invite the whole family over for a get-together. Everyone can help themselves and have their chips just how they like them.

For me, though, it would be a shame to let National Chip Week pass without supporting your local chippy.

You don’t have to order a big meal. A bag of chips might be all you fancy, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

And if you’re having the family over, why not buy the chips from the chippy and have the bread, sauces and condiments ready at home? Less cooking, more time with everyone, and your local chippy gets your custom too.

Salt and vinegar? Gravy? Curry sauce? Cheese? Pea wet? Or something completely different?
