I've started mapping UK fish and chip shops that cook with beef dripping. If you know any, please share in the comments.
While reviewing chippies for The Chippy Tour, The tastiest fish in the crispiest batter I have had to date was cooked in palm oil, and the most delicious chips were cooked in rapeseed oil.
The cooking oil or fat quality doesn't guarantee the best results, though many like the taste and smell of beef dripping.
These beef-dripping chippies on the map are recommendations and so are unverified. If you know of any of these that do not cook in beef dripping or used to but no longer do, let me know in the comments so I can adjust the map. Cheers.

The Deep Blue chain of fish and chip shops have five branches which use beef dripping. Four are in the East Riding of Yorkshire and one is in North Yorkshire. They are Beverley, Brandesburton, Market Weighton, Wetwang (all in East Yorkshire) and Helmsley (North Yorkshire). The fish and chips from Wetwang are particularly good.

Does excellent fish and chips cooked in beef dripping to either eat in or eat out. It is more than fish and chips with a wide range of top quality seafood dishes, so probably gets overlooked as a chippie.
